Review of Beethoven's Treasure Tail (2014) by Ted W — 25 Oct 2014
Our adorable and furry Saint Bernard returns for another wild adventure clearly aimed at kids but hey I had seen Battle Royale 2 and Passion so I needed something to clear my mind from violence and this one was perfect.
One look at Beethoven's wild antics and the hilarious Alec Mapa (comedian I saw performing at the Hollywood Improv) was enough to relax me for the night. Beethoven returns as Hollywood's top dog, but unable to perform an important jump scene while filming a movie which prompts the producer (Morgan Fairchild) to fire him and his trainer Eddie (J.
Silverman). They arrive at a small coastal village where Beethoven befriends a local boy in search of a town treasure. Alec Mapa plays the bad guy's helper and the scene where his face lands on a food dish was funny.
Again, the film is mostly for children but I envision one day watching it again in the company of my future husband and kid or kids. Lastly who can resist Beethoven's playfulness? Not me. Available on Netflix instant streaming.
