Review of Beethoven's 4th (2001) by Joseph M — 17 Nov 2008
The big St. Bernard returns in Beethoven's 4th.
Beethoven is back, this time with a new family. Once again, Beethoven's misbehaving puts him in trouble with his new family who ar enot sure they should keep him, forcing the children to enter him into obediance classes.
However when Beethoven gets swapped accidentally with another St. Bernard named Michelangelo, the family find themselves with a perfectly behaved dog - whilst the other family have to put up with Beethovens rough ways!
Is this film any good? It is enjoyable and planety of cheap laughs that will keep the children happy.
Not a great film by any standards and no where near as good as the first which is somewhat of a classic, but 4th has its moments and is a good no-brainer family film for a Sunday afternoon.
