Review of Beerfest (2006) by Mady * — 26 Feb 2009
Gosh, how could you not like this hilarious film from the awesome Broken Lizard comedy troupe? While it's no Super Troopers (honestly, nothing ever will be, sadly), the guys manage to make a fun and light-hearted comedy about the one thing we hold sacred, alcohol.
In it, two of the guys are brothers who travel to Germany to lay their father's ashes to rest when they stumble upon a secret society called Beerfest where teams from all over the world compete in drinking games.
Naturally, their German relatives are the villains and constant winners of beerfest, so the two brothers build a team comprised of the rest of the Broken Lizard troupe and start training for a whole year, thus getting into all sorts of drunken shenanigans.
Like I said, the movie is fun and a great time waster. Lots of titties and funny gags. Watch it.
