Review of Beerfest (2006) by Evan K — 29 Jan 2009

This is one hilarious movie that made me laugh throughout. And when I saw Broken Lizard were part of it, damn they are funny. The whole concept of a secret drinking society or competition is hilarious and may exist, but overall, just funny. And I gotta say, the concept of a secret pot smoking competition...now that's just too stupid cause really, how would that work? Gotta love Willie Nelson. :).

If you love beer and beer drinking, and you don't mind nudity and swearing, you'll LOVE this movie. There were quite a few little bits in the movie that were maybe stereotypical, but added to the movie, like the Germans in the U-Boat for example. And Cloris Leachman as grand mama. Ah shit her character was hilarious too.

So, for a good drunken laugh, I'd recommend this one as you'll laugh out loud at the drunkenness and games they play while drinking beer. Also, you might learn a few new games to play with your beers. ;).
