Even though I give this 2/5, it's not a bad movie. There's a lot of promise in beer league, it just does'nt quite deliver.
It takes a good half an hour to click into this movie, the dialogue is a little flattly delivered, with all the "fucks" feeling a little forced or read from the page rather than acted. In fact on the whole the dialogue sounds as if it was hilarious on the page but does'nt quite translate to the screen.
Artie Lange as the lead was a tough sell, he ain't looking to be loved but you soon warm to the guy and the rest of the cast are either set up's for the gags or underused, except the "bad guy" who middle finger dance had me chuckling lots.
Not a terrible movie, just not the "cult favorite" I was after...worth a look.
