Review of Bee Season (2005) by Greg G — 26 Jan 2008
There is something to be said for ambition, even when the end result is failure. Bee Season is a case in point. An indulgent father bullies his family with verbal sophistry and unwanted dinners. All the while, though, he knows almost nothing about them.
These are the themes, and I won't spoil the plot by talking about how they unfold. What may have been a fascinating movie ends up being slightly misguided and more than a little confusing.
