Review of Bedtime Stories (2008) by Carolyn E — 09 Mar 2010
BEDTIME STORIES (2008).
Dir. Adam Shankman.
Cast. Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Guy PearceBedtime Stories succeeds in doing one thing, and one thing only: humiliating Guy Pearce for the rest of his life. Everything else fails. Its unfunny, uncute and unfun.Skeeter has been living in the hotel where he works all his life. He suddenly reappear in his sister's life, and she asks him to take care of the kids while she is gone on a business trip or something. He bounds with them by telling stories, and strangely, they come true the next morning.Adam Sandler tries to move his audience once again, like he did with Click. Its more subtle this time, and less effective. Sandler is annoying, as usual and the plot is stupid, badly written, and even if it think it is, its not whimsical for one second. It has no personality and is just plain harmful for children. Its not as charming as it hopes to be, it feels rushed and put together too quickly. Bad bad Adam.
