Review of Bedtime Stories (2008) by Jared G — 13 Feb 2011
The movie's biggest problem is that it's a PG rated Disney movie and when you mix that with Happy Madison it just doesn't work. The dialogue desperately needs to be PG-13 or even R, it doesn't work with the PG rating it just comes off as lazy, uneven, cliche, and just really dissapointing. You expect to hear a goofy Adam Sandler line to pop up at certain points and when it does it just doesn't work because this is a Disney movie and you need to keep it appropriate for the kiddies. It's a shame too because the movie actually isn't as bad as the trailers lead you to believe, yes it's childish and...childish but it does have a couple funny moments and most of them come from Russell Brand.
Overall just not a very well written family movie, if this were PG-13 or even R it would have been alot better, trust me.
