Review of Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) by Anne P — 03 Apr 2008
A strange, sweetly affecting film. As a kid, I only saw it as an escapist pleasure; now, however, I find that B&B plays home to a number of dark ruminations on aging and helplesness, which alone make it worth revisiting.
And the exciting climax is a masterwork of pre-CG special effects.
