Review of Becoming Jane (2007) by Maggie F — 11 Mar 2009
I'm a bit disappointed with this, may be it was because my expectation for this movie was too high. I love Jane Austen and I love her masterpiece, especially Pride and prejudice. this story mirrored Pride and Prejudice, or maybe it the other way around.
because I have read somewhere that Pride and Prejudice was inspired by her true life, even though her reality was not as beautiful as what could be seen in P&P. maybe if this story is written by Jane Austen herself, it would be much better than this.
.. but watching this made me realize that it was not easy to become Jane Austen.
