Review of Becoming Jane (2007) by Tara H — 17 May 2009

If only, for once, Jane pursued and battled for her happiness, and truly lived by her pen, perhaps the story would have another ending.

Too often, we brainwashed ourselves and made the decision in the best interest of others. At least, we believed so.

We sacrificed for the imaginary greaterness. We gave up the possibility of its own, for better or for worse. We bent ourselves down when struggling financially or socially. We chose safely and ruled out any uncertainties. We buried the seeds of love and walked to the ocean of no waves.

If only, once for all, we could just be brave and be no afraid, to truly fight for what we have been longing for. Then, we shall leave no regrets till the day we close our eyes.
