Pretty entertaining dramatization of Austen's love life. The passionate love affair was concocted around a man that Austen mentioned flirting with a few times in letters to her sister, so about 99% of it is totally fabricated.
It's still hard for our society to believe that someone like Austen, who wrote one of the most romantic novels in history, just never fell in love. So Hollywood had to create a tragic love story for her to explain her ending up a spinster.
Maybe she just never found anyone good enough for her....
