Review of Becoming Jane (2007) by Greg P — 11 Dec 2011
I really liked this movie. It was interesting to see how much Austen's life parallelled her novels. Kind of a sad ending though. When Tom calls his daughter Jane, I thought that was pretty moving. It really captured the love that they had for each other and you could see that it was still there after all that time.
Anne Hathaway looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! She could sit and read to me any night of the week. I'm finding myself liking James McAvoy more and more each movie I see him in too. I watched the movie on DVD with the pop-up facts throughout.
This really added a lot for me because it gave some cool insight on Austen's life as well as the time period itself.
