Review of Becoming Jane (2007) by Drew B — 22 Jan 2013
Before you start this DVD make sure that you are previously well versed in British dialogue. Between opening and closing credits there is more jam-packed conversation than in any other movie you may have seen.
However.
This was a great distraction from the mundane dribble that we release from week to week. No sex jokes, no Will Ferrell idiocy, nothing I usually get to object to. There were characters, emotions, plot, direction, conflict, and denoument. It's almost as if somebody set out to write some sort of "film," whatever that may be.
Pretty dang good.
