This movie was surprisingly OK, considering the negative reviews. I think that many critics were disappointed because the quality of Diane Keaton's movies has been so consistently high, so when one comes along that's just basically entertaining but not great, everyone is disappointed.
""Because I Said So" is a lightweight confection, not a great movie, but it's still enjoyable if your expectations are not too high. Watching Diane Keaton is always a pleasure. She is beautiful and engaging and delightfully stylish in her own incomparable way.
Plus, it is just such a relief to see an actress who has not ruined her natural loveliness with plastic surgery.
