Review of Bebe's Kids (1992) by Kevin R — 28 Nov 2009
The circus couldn?t train them kids.
While at a funeral for one of the guys from the neighborhood, Robin Harris encounters the secretary of the deceased. After some smooth talking, the secretary agrees to go out with him, but only if he takes her and her son to Fun World. When Robin arrives at the secretary?s house he discovers she has three more kids; but those are not her kids, they?re Bebe?s kids. Robin agrees to take the secretary, her son, and Bebe?s kids to Fun World. What Robin doesn?t know is that Bebe?s kids are bad as hell!
?Beauty is only skin deep.?
?But ugly is to the bone.?
Bruce Smith, director of The Beach, The Picnic, and The Proud Family Movie, delivers Bebe?s Kids. The storyline for this picture is remarkably entertaining and I have always thoroughly enjoyed this picture. The voiceovers are well selected and the animation is perfect for the content. The soundtrack was also well selected.
?Taking a dump can be so relaxing??
Bebe?s Kids is a film that I have always adored since it first came out. I always thought that the concept was brilliant and was hoping for a sequel in Vegas. Unfortunately, the sequel never materialized, Robin Harris passed away, and the DVD became out of print. Fortunately, I was able to recently obtain a copy of this DVD from the Penn State Blockbuster (nice, $13). The only negative aspect of the film was that some scenes were a bit corny; but overall, I strongly recommend seeing this picture if it has never crossed your eyeballs.
?I am pissed off to the highest level of pississity.?
Grade: B+.
