Review of Beauty and the Beast (2017) by Jordan I — 18 Jun 2017
Really not as charming as the original. This movie tries, but it's really flat compared to the original. Every etxra seems to stand there awkwardly, expressing as little emotion as possible. The songs are too "commercial" - as in they're pretty, but not convincing or emotional.
The most appealing performance, and the most appealing character, is Belle's father - who has been more developed in this movie. His addition is the only benefit of this movie. He's just the sweetest, most endearing character and he helps to give this movie a solid three stars.
