Review of Beauty and the Beast (2017) by Josh S — 18 Jun 2017

While Beauty and the Beast is a visually stunning retelling of the Disney Animated film of the same name, and not so much the classic story, part of the luster of that wonderfully animated film is lost in this live action translation.

While the cast is definitely all-star and the production is top notch I actually found myself bored with the film entering the second act. Perhaps it was the fact that I had seen the animated film so many times, or maybe the live action version just didn't capture my attention as much.

This film again is still beautifully translated and well acted...but for me it was just missing that certain something.
