Beauty and the Beast may not be everyone's cup of tea (HA!) but what else could you POSSIBLY ask of the genre? This movie featured a solid cast that delivered a performance which felt so genuine. The plot was exciting and built up a lot of tension.
The soundtrack was well produced and timed. The visuals were on par with anything else nowadays. On top of all of this, it had the nostalgic characters and props from the the original. If you think the 1991 version was something to rave about, this one should be right there in the discussion.
This movie was a MASTERPIECE.
