Review of Beauty and the Beast (2017) by White F — 12 Jun 2017
This retelling offers nothing new to add to the beloved animation. The romance is still bordering creepy and there are still no positive male role-models, but instead of Disney's skillful signature hand-drawn animation, we get fuzzy CGI and Emma Watson. Now I will love Emma's Hermione till the end of my days, but instead of being witty, the live-action Belle comes off as forceful, unhelpful, and sometimes whiny.
Why Disney, why.
