Didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Still pales in comparison to the masterpiece of the original cartoon. The tendency for Disney with adaptations of their cartoon to film remakes is to add a Broadway feel that does not work as well as a true adaptation.

The Broadway play was exquisite and this felt like a filmed version of the musical. What made Broadway great was the inventiveness of how to tell the story for the stage. This lacked the brilliance the cartoon and stage performance stood apart for. Worth seeing though, but not owning.
