It's hard not to feel emotional when something you obsessed over as a kid is suddenly "real" - I had tears in my eyes half the time. The visual effects are breathtakingly beautiful, the plot is more fully realized with some backstory for the leads, and I think Hermione was meant to grow up to be Belle.
