Review of Beauty and the Beast (1991) by Aubrey P — 07 Feb 2013

I already said that my favorite Disney movie was Fantasia, but if I had to pick one that told a coherent story from start to finish with that classic fairy tale formula, it would definitely be Beauty and the Beast.

Why? Because everything about this movie is just perfect. The characters, the villain, the art, the animation, the songs, the storytelling; it's all flawless...at least, in my opinion. But I'm pretty sure most everyone can agree with me on this one.

When this film first came out, people just fell in love with it- it even got nominated for best picture. It goes back to the classic Disney formula, but it follows all the way through, and it follows through really well.

Yeah, it's a fairy tale, but the way it's done is just phenomenal, and it's one of the few Disney flicks that only gets better the older I get.
