Beauty and the Beast (1991) - is what I like to call an abundance of pure Disney magic. This is not only my favorite movie from the Disney Renaissance but I believe it's also their best. The story is both magical and smartly paced.

I really love how they show the love between our two leads and how they come to understand each other. I also love the backstory of the prince and how he got was cursed along with everyone else in the castle.

The characters are lovable and irresistible Bell is considered to be odd compared to the rest of the village but she's also a strong and free spirited and would be willing to do anything for those in need, especially his father.

The Beast is indeed intimidating but also sympathetic. I love how he learns to be a more proper gentlemen overtime fall in love with bell. He really is a great example of how beauty is found within. The side characters are irresistible and lovable.

Lumiar is both charming and funny, He also has a great musical number. Cogsworth is strict but also has his funny moments and Mrs Potts is has a lovely voice and provides a great amount of charm whenever it's needed.

Gaston is funny as a villain and although he's not my personal favorite he still does have a cynical personality and I like how many times he attempts to marry Bell. The animation is Incredible and is by far some of the most dazzling visuals I've ever seen in a Disney movie.

It really does work the best in the song sequences but there are a lot of other things like the character design and the look of the castle. I especially love it when the inanimate house objects move around and do stuff like cooking or cleaning.

I also like how they blend the 2D Animation with some CGI. This can help create some massive setups and I think it works great when wanting to get different angles of a certain scene. The songs are amazing and they're probably some of the best that disney has to offer.

"Tale as old as Time" "Be our guest" and "Human Again" are my favorites but in general, all the songs are great and they play their role in the movie nicely. If I had to pick my favorite animated movie from Disney that is not Pixar, It would be this film.

It has been praised as a Disney classic by many critics and audiences, and I couldn't agree more. It's just a slice of pure magic and It lives and breathes under the aspects of a great Disney fairytale.

(A+).
