Review of Beautiful Thing (1996) by Settimio P — 16 Nov 2010
Achingly beautiful, from the characters to the locations, to the plot. I was left in awe of it, appreciating the unusual story, which feels refreshingly original and credible at the same time. The use of the soundtrack seemed careful and intelligently diegetic.
The finale looked like a bold statement, and it seems to transpire that McDonald's intention is to inspire as much as to entertain, I was both.
