Review of Beautiful Thing (1996) by Blair K — 09 Mar 2010
Based in a British apartment complex, this film tells the story of two teen boys (each living in different flats) who unexpectedly fall in love, then have to deal with those around them (especially the mothers) when coming out.
In my opinion, the best gay indie of the 90's...still one of my favorite coming out movies of all time. The acting is so natural, like any of the actors could be your friend or someone you know, mixed with an awesome soundtrack.
Definitely struck an emotional chord with me, and still does.
