Review of Beautiful Girls (1996) by Mithila Minxy K — 08 Nov 2008
Amazingly idyllic with an undercurrent of the complications we call Life! Willie (Tim Hutton) walks into his hometown for a highschool reunion and finds his friends grappling with or plain ignoring the issues that make or break our lives.
Infidelity, love and friendship are foremost in this film that also succumbs to a powerpacked yet such a very humble script. I was mesmerised by Natalie Portman. You don't once feel Willie and Marty are being sinful - what they begin to have is plain beautiful!
