Review of Beautiful Girls (1996) by Kenneth S — 07 Jun 2009
BEAUTIFUL GIRLS is my idea of a perfect comedy. Filled with real, believable characters in real, believable settings, BEAUTIFUL GIRLS finds its heart in its character development and interactions. The film takes place when a group of friends re-unite for their ten year high school reunion.
The realities of growing old set in and they begin to re-evaluate their lives, learning a lot about the world and themselves in the process. The performances are top-notch, and the film consistantly entertains.
Must be watched a few times to really appreciate its charm.
