Review of Beautiful Girls (1996) by Anya S — 07 Nov 2010
You're learning more about men here than you should be allowed to. Yes, men freak out when they reach that certain age that they completely lose their childishness. Men also use women to give us some recreation of youth.
This movie is smartly written in a way where all these guys can stay true to their concerns and get this all out. If it was just one character, it wouldn't make sense. But the guy stills crewing his high school girlfriend; the supermode-obsessed guy; the guy overly conflicted about his relationship growth.
And the pedophilia thing is actually quite romantic too.
