This movie was painful... I quite literally cannot put into words how disappointed I am with how it turned out, especially after reading the books, which, despite being YA novels, were captivating and fun to read, most especially the elements in Lena's and Ethan's relationship (which were not at all portrayed in the film).

I had really hoped the film would stick close to the books; this was not the case at all. Frankly, if this was it's own movie, I would've felt about the same. There were too many voids in the film.
