How fortunate are most of us? As much as we struggle with our identities...with becoming the people we feel we want to be...are destined to be...are the people our parents would be proud of having raised, we were at least born to a body which matches the gender of who we feel we are inside.

What bravery would it take to make a public stand for yourself...a public stand that is judged in the confines of a national sport...a stand that some perceive as a disgrace to your entire culture? The film portrayed the struggles against what the beautiful boxer represented to a lot of people.

..but, equally, the power of acceptance in her life. There is definitely some inspiration to be discovered here!!
