Review of Beat the Drum (2003) by Lou D — 14 Dec 2010
Wonderfully made movie about a young african boy who's immediate family and countless acquaintances has been ended by the growing aids epidemic... yet seen as the act of a generational curse and tried to countered by magic, sacrifices, etc.
.. in the end, Truth is nailed down and a last effort is made to persuade the people to listen, accept and do away with their sinful customs. a young orphaned boy with exceptionally high morals, intuition and hope prevails.
great movie all around.
