"Beasts of the Southern Wild" is a wonderful fantasy made on a shoe-string, a classic example of how budget, location filming captures the essence of detail of a place in a way a studio picture just never could.
Life may be tough in the 'Bathtub', but it's inhabitants are tougher - and they have all the moonshine and prawns they could ever need.
