Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Isabel U — 24 Mar 2013
This film is a totally unique portrayal of life--the largest of concepts--but never seems to have bitten off more that it can chew. Its unique pulse is distinctly human and, I imagine, universal. It's an impressive film, unfortunately it can't sustain it's magic and it's resolution is far from satisfying.
