Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Anthony S — 21 Feb 2013
Not only one of the best films of the year, but now one of my favorite films -- joining the list of many that I've committed to memory thus far. Quvenzhane Wallis's breakthrough performance as the heroine Hushpuppy, coupled with Benh Zeitlin's powerhouse directing, maintain a sort of child-like innocence that will resonate within many generations to come.
