Brilliant. Give someone an Oscar, and then another immediately! The movie plays like a beautiful drawn out song, and charms like a dance, moving dreamily from scene, to scene, through the eyes of a child's imagination.
How this child was able to give such an open, heartfelt, straight forward performance is magical, and within this setting and story, her innocence is an obvious blessing to embrace. It is a moving, at times shockingly uncomfortable story, told with minimal dialogue and bright awareness.
Clearly Brilliant.
