Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Brad S — 23 Feb 2013
Very rarely do I get to watch a truly original film, but this one fits the bill. Nominated for several Oscars including Best Pictures, this one deserves the accolades in my opinion. The film is a fable essentially telling the story of a small community rocked by nature.
It's compromised of unprofessional actors and has a documentary quality to it, but the acting is great and the film looks beautiful. Highly recommended!
