Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Tor M — 04 Mar 2013
This is the most powerful/affecting of all the nominees this year, and also the one whose story and style is most original. It has sat with me in a way that few movies do. It's beautiful and grim at the same time.
This is a gem of a film, and my personal favorite of the nine nominees.
