Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Megan G — 20 Apr 2013

Definitely a different, strange movie. I don't think that I "got" some of it- I didn't understand what the beasts that Hushpuppy saw were supposed to represent. One of those movies that has a lot of deep meaning that I just didn't quite get.

However, that being said, the little girl who played Hushpuppy was amazing, and it was certainly an incredibly sad and moving story of a little girl trying to find her way in a very depressing part of the world.

For me, it was one of those movies that was hyped up with awards and such, but then I found myself just not quite understanding what was going on. I found the plot kind of all over the place, and nothing was extremely clear.
