A strangely beautiful and out-worldly tale of a young girl and her father trying to survive in Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina. Beasts of the Southern Wild doesn't forget it's movie magic and gives it to the viewer.
The movie is a great look at the other side. Albeit fantastic.
