There's always something special when learning about another culture, another form of lifestyle. Especially when its told in such a beautiful way!
'Beasts of the Southern Wild' is a movie where filmmaking is at its highest point where story has completely taken over. Every actor has played their part so well and each crew member has done their work so well to capture their emotions that throughout the length of the movie I hardly ever looked outside the story aspect for flaws.
The protagonist Hushpuppy played by Quvenzhane Wallis is such an incredible actor. I still cannot imagine how she manage to pull off such a complex character at such a young age. Simply amazing! The chemistry between the actors especially the father daughter relationship is so good that it elevates the movie to another level.
A movie which helps you see the pain and suffering of the world but at the same time helps you see everything good and wonderful. In the midst of all this, you end up asking yourself the question, how much are we actually 'LIVING' ?
A definite must watch for the serious film goers.
Simply put, 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' is an emotional journey which everyone should experience.
