Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Alexander P — 06 Jan 2015
I wish I could jump on board with the bandwagon and say how much of a masterpiece this film is. But I saw it a few years ago at an Urban Cinematheque, and it only slightly peaked my interest. Incredibly made, very powerful, but predictably emotional film.
The story is supposed to be feel good from the get-go. It's pining emotion from the audience.
