Review of Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) by Cl 9 — 16 Feb 2015
It's a sloppy mess of a script that unfortunately kills some cool set design and cinematography. The much built up "beasts" end up having no relevance to the story, and 9 year old Hushpuppy is a grating, annoying, pint sized version of the "independent black woman" stereotype.
