Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Dallas W — 22 Oct 2015
While the powerful camera work, the brilliant script and the amazing performance by Idris Elba make Beasts of no Nation an unforgettable, heart-achingly realistic movie; it's Abraham Attah's performance that ultimately steals the show.
Reminding me of Quvenzhane Wallis' Hushpuppy, Attah's breathtakingly raw energy and pure talent just forces the audience to fall in love with Agu in every single frame he's on screen. This is without a doubt, one of the most important movies of the year and a very nice welcome to real beasts; Cary Fukunaga and Abraham Attah to Hollywood.
