Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Tim O — 25 Jan 2016
'Beasts of no nation' is a film that keeps you entertained with an atmosphere of the brutal reality, about how war can make people suffer physical and mentally. In this case we are following a boy named Agu (Abraham Attah) who is captured and "made" into a child soldier.
The commandant of this "child army" is played amazingly well by Idris Elba. It is beyond me how he didn't get nominated for an 'Academy Award'. To round up, great honest film which, probably, will touch your heart in many ways.
