Beasts of No Nation chronicles the perils of a fictional war and what can become of the innocent during the conflict. Idris Elba leads a cast of actors, but the star is young Abraham Attah as a child who goes from living a fairly normal life to becoming a soldier. His transformation is sudden, as is the movie. How Alba didn't get nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar is shame.
This is not for the faint of heart.
