Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Slicshuter — 11 Jan 2016
An absolutely spectacular film. The story was gripping and emotional, having me on the verge of tears at some points. The brutal reality of the whole thing is conveyed very well and stellar performances by Abraham Attah and Idris Elba make this film something truly special.
It's a shame it hasn't garnered as much attention as it deserves, and I'd like to hope Attah or Elba will get some attention during award season.
