Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Chris R — 31 Dec 2015
This is a very harrowing tale, so prepare yourself for an emotional next couple of hours. Let me start by saying that Idris Elba deserves to at least be talked about for an Oscar nod with his peformance.
Abraham Attah also does a great job as Agu. The forst hour of this film is nothing short of masterful storytelling. The rest of the film is still good, but is a clear step down from the first part of the film.
I highly recommend this movie.
