For some reason, it worked for me more than I thought it could. Hudgens and NPH are standouts, but Krause is completely wasted, and a bit of a cliche. It seems like the movie could have been about 30 minutes longer, but they wind things up in summary fashion that's a bit unsatisfying.
Would have also have like to see more from Olsen on her background, powers, & motivation. Not bad. (Disclaimer: my employer and the film's studio are subsidiaries of the same parent company.
