I would have said it was the stupidest adaptation of a fairy tale if I hadn't just seen the Red Riding Hood (2011) disaster.
The problem with this one is that it almost could have worked...If they had tried, that is.
Even Neil Patrick Harris couldn't save the scenes where he's in... And this is a guy that makes better every scene he's been in on the last few years.
This is a movie that had the opportunity of giving a new spin to a classic tale, but a lazy script, the miscasting of the leads, and a really, really, really stupid adaptation killed it.
